Reva/Privacy
privacy
We collect the least we can.
Reva was built by people who got sick of apps that harvest your anxiety and sell it back to brands. We collect the least we can, and we never sell your data.
Last updated 1 July 2026 - a plain-English summary, not a wall of clauses.
What the checker collects
When you paste or scan an ingredient list, that text is used to score that product and nothing more. It is not tied to your identity and it is not kept against a profile. What we do keep is anonymous and aggregated: plain counts, like how often a given ingredient is looked up, so we can see where our coverage needs work.
What an account collects
If you create an account, we hold a little more, and only what the service needs to run:
- An email address, verified with a one-time code. We store no password, so there is nothing to leak.
- API usage - matched-call counts and metrics for billing and rate limits, not the substance of your queries.
- Basic technical data - your IP address and user-agent, retained briefly for security.
What we never do
- We never sell, rent or broker your data. There is no data-licensing side business.
- We never send unsolicited marketing. A message to us gets a reply, and nothing else.
- We run no third-party advertising and no behavioural trackers.
Cookies
Essential cookies only, to keep you signed in and the service secure. No tracking pixels, and no cross-site advertising cookies.
Your rights
You can access, correct or delete your data at any time. We action requests within 30 days. Email privacy@reva.dev and we will sort it out. As an Australian organisation, we align to the Australian Privacy Principles.
